Stacking 5 crates
Standard stacking of full GPS crates is 3 on 1 (4 crates high). The maximum stacking is 4 on 1 (5 crates high), due to big stacking height, requires specific training and equipment.
SPECIFIC TRAINING |
The forklift truck driver must be experienced and skilled. He must be used to stacking the GPS crates and understand the shape and role of the stacking pins on top of the open crate. |
METHOD |
Because of the lack of visibility, lifting 1 crate on top of 4 already stacked will be very difficult. It is therefore required to stack 2 crates on top of 3. |
ADAPTED EQUIPMENT |
To be able to lift 2 full crates, the recommended forklift truck load is 4 tons. It needs to be able to lift a weight of 3.27 tons at a height of 3.3 meters. The total height of the stack will be 5.54 meters. |
